I WON MY HAKES BID!!!!

3.5x5x1.75" deep gold-colored tin w/illustrated outer slip cover contains high quality adult size ring produced at the time of the movie release by The Great American Ring Club © 1994 Universal City Studios Inc./Advance Magazine Publishers Inc. There are two varieties of this ring. This is the sterling silver version w/cultured ruby. Has diecut design on sides of band. From a limited edition of just 2000 and comes w/individually numbered 4x5.5" certificate #0982. Certificate text includes "By Wearing The Ring You Will Become My Agent, Like Dozens Of Others All Over The World, In All Walks Of Life." The slip cover includes an ad on back for The Shadow Club membership kit. The tin has cardboard insert designed to hold the ring and this has repeated "Ha Ha Ha" text. The slip cover is Exc., all else is Mint.

I was stoked to find out that I won the Hakes auction item that I bid on easier in the week. Now I have to call the lovely Heather and find out what is the procedure for redeeming the coupon I won and getting my ring delivered to me. Good things seem to happen to good people and I am good people.

I have most of the toys and vehicles from the 1994 movie but have been looking for this ring as the crown jewel in my Shadow collection.

Thanks again to the League of Extraordinary Bloggers and especially Brain over at Cool and Collected, who created the contest in the first place - the one that Hakes liked so much that they offered two $100 gift certificates - one that went to me. I used $85 of that to win the auction and still have enough left over for shipping and handling. Nothing like earning some free swag to make all the blogging worth the effort.

Congrats! That's awesome. This seems like appropriate pay for all the hard work.

It does, doesn't it? I am not rewarded enough for the genius I share. If I can't have a mail order bride from the Ukraine (because they call it pimping) so I deserve something just as cool.
