When Husband was in the army and<br />we had no money, a whole barbequed chicken from the grocery was a huge treat for us. If we could add some Cold Bear wine (well, we were 25!) it was as close to heaven as made no difference.Margaret Benbowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17981723531235779155noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2528812496347938474.post-8639477662580082352015-08-28T07:40:56.435-07:002015-08-28T07:40:56.435-07:00Ok, now I'm hungry. It's not a bad idea to buy one, refrigerate it overnight, and then use the meat for something else. And then you can toss the carcass in a crockpot with some cut-up onions, carrots, and celery with enough water to cover, put the pot on LOW for twelve hours, and then strain it for stock that's so much better than anything from a can. Yeah -- I'm a fan of rotisserie chickens. In fact, as I write this, we're reheating one in the oven!Kelly Sedingerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10704114189919711467noreply@blogger.com
