It's an art.Kalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00663751053844271849noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2528812496347938474.post-17255369732272092902014-01-27T07:15:21.028-08:002014-01-27T07:15:21.028-08:00Classic covers, my very first Amazing Spiderman is...Classic covers, my very first Amazing Spiderman issues when I started collecting actually.

My first 'new' ASM when I got sucked into the Marvel Universe circa '73 was ASM ish 125, but a local Shopko back then had those bags of '3 recent comics for 49cent' deals.., so I picked up ASM 122-124, plus just-missed Avengers, Iron Man, Daredevil, and Captain America that way.

I apparently JUST missed Gwen's death in ish 121 by a few weeks, but I finally forked over a hundred for it a few years back. I was surprised with which panels were missing from the vintage Marvel Tales reprint I had of that issue.

Ah, the last of John Romita. Ross Andru was alright, but if you start your first issues with Romita, it's hard to accept Andru.david_bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00218727673816200051noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2528812496347938474.post-62437034178563627402014-01-26T22:46:22.867-08:002014-01-26T22:46:22.867-08:00I started with 224. It's just incredible, incredible storytelling. Seeing these covers makes me want to go read them all again.Jordanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04915554155202804189noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2528812496347938474.post-59730241211181755692014-01-26T19:41:31.544-08:002014-01-26T19:41:31.544-08:00Mine too.
