I suspect this comic character would have been presented in a slightly different way today. We all know Casper was the ghost of kidnap victim Richie Rich who was not returned after his parents paid the ranson. That tag line is pretty gruesome though.

That's just... fantastic.
I was 3 or 4 when I first saw Casper show up in comics. (1954) He was already the Friendly ghost by then. That pretty a pretty morbid comic.
