I Love This Show
The program 'Tough Love Couples' is just about the greatest TV show ever. What you have are a group of good looking people being yelled at by another good looking guy, who is possibly, the worst couples therapist in the world (oh and his mother is there too to help these poor couples)
The entitled leading the entitled. More train wrecks per hour than you will ever see. Every single character is self centered without a single redeeming quality. It's one of those shows that should never be shot into space lest the alien choose them as representative of our race.
For all the histrionics these hard bodies put out you would think they were auditioning for something. Oh, right, they are - porn (because that is as far as these losers will get)
I hate that I love this so much. It re-enforces my pitiful single status. I would just about murder any of those women if I had to complete a single task with them. The men do provoke negative responses/behaviours in the women but that is only after the girl has gone all crazy unreasonable over some little thing. That is what you get pretty girls when you choose a man that is good looking and that is the ONLY criteria you base dating on.
How do people in relationships do it everyday?

Calvin, you watch too much TV. Go outside. Read a book. You're life is being frittered away second by second without you even realizing it.
Been there...done that.
As a Reality TV Addict, this show is certainly on my list of MUST WATCH. I love seeing the beautiful people get yelled at and cry like little bitches.
Is that mean of me?
:D
Cal,
I love TV too, but I would rather watch the same episode of Justified, Dexter, or some good movie 10 times in a row before I'd watch any reality TV. Most of it is the farthest thing from reality anyway. I did watch about 10 minutes of that Andrew Dice Clay reality show awhile back and that clenched it for me.
You work hard at it. And you don't sell your relationship to be on television. (And you know just how much I love television, reality or non-reality. TV, movies, books, art, life: it's all just about story, when you break it down.)
So what you are saying is that I am enjoying a story about the humiliation of pretty people in toxic relationships. That is usually more of a summer 'read' but I can take it no.
Yes. Exactly. But maybe I'm just crazy. I find all people interesting... even the supremely boring ones.
Or like me do you like to feel superior to the reality show contestants like those on "Tough Love Couples"
I don't really understand staying with someone who makes you completely miserable. Danny and I frustrate each other sometimes, but we talk things through and don't forget that this is worth fighting for.
I agree with Amy's comment... airing your problems on TV is selling your relationship.
