Why Can't I Get Pepsi In Glass Bottles Anymore?

A few summers ago our local corner store got a few cases of Pepsi in glass bottles by mistake, something never seen here in the tundra. I, of course, bought a case and rationed them jealously. Glass bottles make the pop taste so much better but so does cane sugar as opposed to high fructose corn syrup. I so totally need a Mexican connection. (for pop, not weed - our province is next door to the best grown weed in the world) I can't stand that I am drinking Pepsi in the cans when I know there is better stuff out there. Some things you can't compromise over. Oh, how I suffer.

Damn NAFTA...is my government afraid I will cut myself on the glass? I can get olives in a glass container so why not Pepsi? I officially hate everything now.

Stephen Harper is afraid that kids will get hyped up on sugar, smash the bottles and start a rumble.

Sure, you could bring a broken olive jar to a schoolyard rumble, but you'll just look like a dork.

In Mexico you can only get glass bottled soft drinks at some restaurants, never in convinience stores nor supermarkets. And why would anybody want to drink a Pepsi made with high fructose?

Last time I saw glass bottles was at Christmastime. They were Coke, though.

So I am not at all helpful.

I don't even like pop most of the time, but when I was in Russia, Pepsi always came in a bottle and it tasted DELICIOUS! :)

One of the few things I miss about my last place. Coke in glass bottles in every shop!

Equador has glass bottles for pop. They were less expensive than the plastic but you had to drink them in the store.(Store owners get the return value this way) It was weird everywhere there they had recycling cans but miami didn't have single one.

No one WANTS to drink anything with high fructose corn syrup. It's just that there's usually no choice.
