RRH

For many Canadians of a certain age, this cartoon is one we will never forget...because we watched is so many damn times. In the days before cable and 24 cartoon networks, you had to make due with whatever crap they chose to put on the air on Canadian television. If you were real evolved you got 13 channels (most days) but still, except for Saturday mornings, cartoons were rare. We watched anything animated that flashed or way. Until Japanese manga came on the scene in the early 80s, this and The Mighty Hercules were all the action cartoons we had. And everyone remembers the theme song. Sing along with me now.

Yeah, this takes me back and not in a good way. Luckily when I was small, CBC carried the English TV series of Robin Hood with Richard Greene. It was my younger sister who had to settle for this animated piece of crap.

Oh, the memories . . . the horrible, horrible memories! Apparently there were 52 episodes, but I swear we got the same 6 over and over and over again.

And three of those were those really crappy ones done in the dark with those spooky backgrounds. The same ones they had in the last season of the great SPIDERMAN cartoon, which was also a joy.

Yeah, had to watch that early mornings back in '69, '70... It was all we had for cool cartoons.

Glad you feel my pain.

If you had been born a decade or so (two decades?) earlier you would have had Marine Boy to go along with RRH and Spidey.

What are you talking about this show was awesome. They had this on first weekday mornings then Astro Boy and Hercules, He-man, ThunderCats I watched and loved them all. Even the Smurfs and later on The Smoggies.
