Ah the Tell Tale Heart, I remember fondly giving a dramatic reading of that story for my speech class in the 8th grade.

Recently I discovered UPA's chilling cartoon adaptation:

That film would have been great to have when I taught the story in Jr. High English. The best part was always screaming out that 'HIDEOUS HEART' line at the end.

The thought of you screaming classic literature to your class reminds me of one of my greater academic regrets. Shortly after I graduated from college I learned that the Grizzly Adams look-alike Mr. Mansley (yes really) who taught my creative writing class was teaching Shakespeare 101 the next semester. How awesome would that have been.

That was nothing. You should here me doing a reading of Roch Carrier's The Sweater (NFB films on You Tube) or the Grinch. I sell those one's to the cheap seats in the back. Also take lit from the craziest teacher in the school. It's the only teacher with any passion for the subject matter. Though I do I mean 'Causes of WWI' history lecture to. I have hand puppets of The Archduke and his assassin.
