I you were a fan of the fun FLASH series from the 90s then this will be good news for you. Hamill's role as the Trickster was much beloved and to see him return to the new series will hopefully be a fun ride. It was from here that Hamill went on to have a great cartoon voice over career, voicing the Joker for many years on the also classic 90s Batman cartoon.

Cool Casting News Of The Day
"Mark Hamill returns in a brand new interpretation of James Jesse (aka The Trickster), a role he originated on the 90's 'Flash' series. In this new iteration, The Trickster is an anarchist terrorist con man serving a life sentence in Iron Heights who helps Barry (Grant Gustin) and Det. West (Jesse L. Martin) to foil the city-wide attacks of a wannabe Trickster eagerly following in the original's deadly footsteps. The episode will reunite him with John Wesley Shipp who went up against him as the original 'Flash' on the CBS version."

That is so awesome!
Hamill was SO AWESOME in that role.. That final episode was soooo bittersweet because you just knew the 2nd year would get so much better.
What an excellent final episode though. It had everything.
The show was ahead of it's time and a lot of guys like Dini cut their teeth on this show. It's why we got Smallville and all the great superhero stuff we enjoy today. Today's creative guys all grew up loving those shows.
Mark Hamill was also the voice of the "Hobgoblin" on the 90's Spiderman cartoon...
Awesome news indeed. I thought that earlier version of Flash was brilliant. It was a shame it never caught on.
From what I've read, Amanda Pays gets to make a return engagement this month as well, once again as Dr. Tina McGee.
Hamil also played The Trickster on an episode of the Justice League cartoon.
He basically owns the part. As it should be.
Amanda Pays too..??? WOW.
I never liked her much in the original series.., there was practically 'ZERO' chemistry between her and John.
Will be interesting to see, I LOVE good reunions.
