Garbage doing a cover of a 10,000 Maniacs cover of a Patti Smith song originally written by Bruce Springsteen. If all of that doesn't make your head explode then you don't know music. Too Cool.

It is a Bruce Springsteen song that was rewritten and initially made famous by the Patti Smith Group back in 1978. 10,00 Maniacs were just doing a cover. The Garbage version is really well done too.
You are right of course. I just learned that myself. The history of the song makes this version even cooler. I can't imagine Brue writing this. Thanks for the information.
