Look what someone found at a ridiculous price. The set was complete and inside were also all of the Remco ten inch cloth figures from their McDonaldland line. Unfreakin' believable. I want to hold my head under water until I breath no more. I don't want to know what the buyer paid for it. That would make my now wet head explode under water, where I had just drowned from the whole unfairness of the situation.
This is actual PROOF that Mayor McCheese built a happy place with minimal crime. A place where every train ran on time and there was a warm apple pie waiting for you when you reached the station. If you paid for your meal and didn't try to steal it, you were not beaten up by the one cop in town and given a criminal record. I think that Hamburgler has brain damage and needs treatment, not more abuse. Now Grimace I avoid. He just seems twitchy to me.
Why do they even NEED Ronald? What value did he bring to this fast food utopia, without woman?
NOTHING, that's what. He's the young swingin' single guy. Mr. Big Shot Celebrity who has to be the center of every commercial or promotional campaign. You think some of the Hollywood Swag he was collecting would trickle down to the rest of the people, like the Mayor that made this Ex Carnival Clown the face of his operation. Couldn't Ronald toss a few young starlets his way...for parties at the Mayor's Mansion of course. These would be scholarship winners and there would be a diner. Nothing creepy here at all.
This is why my toy collection will always be less than it ever could have been. I wasn't born near places where people made finding and selling these treasures at sometimes a decent negotiated price a way of life. I could have networked the hell out of a group of sellers with my charm and my cash.
I could then sell off some minor pieces to get something really cool but then I don't want to even think about making that Sophie's Choice.
And that is all I have to say on this topic.

what did Ronald bring?!?! he single handedly kept the corruption and crime in check with that crooked McCheese. for decades Ronald stood toe to toe with that greasy politician for no other reason than to see his beloved land freed from the tyranny of your beloved mayor. and what help did he receive? none, except for a stalwart constable who kept the mad scientists, pirates, common burglers and giant purple mutations out of Ronald's beautiful crimson quaff.
the whole thing is going to be blown wide open my friend and when the dust settles we'll see who laughs last...a dear hearted clown.
A clown with a past. An ugly past. There are ten tears for each smile he generates..and they hand those out for FREE - another revolutionary McCheese initiative.
Revolution is messy work my friend. Does he know pain? Yes. Does he know fear? Yes. But dammit, knows what needs to be done and he's not afraid to do it.
Damn that's good writing.
I'm telling you, our screenplay is waiting.
Andy Serkis would do Grimace as a motion caption creature.
i could see bill murray as the pirate and dustin hoffman as the hamburgler
