Golden Globe® winner Idris Elba (Beasts of No Nation, Star Trek Beyond) returns to his iconic role as a self-destructive near-genius detective on the edge of law enforcement. Detective Chief Inspector John Luther (Elba) will learn the hard way; he may never be able to walk away from capturing the tormented psychopaths that lurk the streets of London. His attempt to leave the darker side of humanity behind for a chance at a “normal” life is quickly thwarted whenhe’s drawn into a terrifyingly complex case. A cannibalistic serial killer delivers a devastating blow that not only pulls him out of seclusion but pushes him closer to the edge than he’s ever been. A BBC AMERICA co-production, the gripping, psychological thriller Luther makes its highly-anticipated return in a one-night special event on Thursday, December 17, 9:00pm ET.

All right. Been waiting for this for a while now.
At the risk of invoking your rage and receiving a tounge lashing...what's a PVR?
Personal Video Recorder - like TIVO in Canada. Comes with our satellite package. You can have it record your shows for you without the commercials.
We have DVR here in the union, digital video recorder. Look at that, we're being cultural!
But this one will seek out shows that it thinks you might like and ask if you want to add them.
And all of ours run on POLAR DIAMONDs so that makes them extra better than yours which run on fear and regret.
Seems a little shady what with it seeking out what you like, sounds a bit too much like skynet or the matrix to me.
Skynet...robot bastards. I think I will go slap the toaster around for a few mintues.
Preemptive strike, I like it. That bitch of a vacuum is next.
