I assume there are still icebergs in the North Atlantic where any replica of the Titanic must sail through on it's maiden voyage so what is the point. Wanna bet the fancy satellite radar goes out the very night they hit ANOTHER iceberg and go down? Remember I predicted it here first. And the irony would be that Leonardo DiCaprio would be on this replica for the maiden voyage and actually drowns for real. Damn, that would be spooky.
The story of the Titanic is one that has intrigued many for years - and for those who are most entranced, there may soon be a way to relive the glory and wonder of one of the most luxurious cruise liners in the world.
By 2022, a new ship modeled after the Titanic could set sail for 2,400 passengers, thanks to Australian businessman Clive Palmer, who shelled out $500 (£396.26) million for the project.
The Titanic ll, though outfitted with 21st century navigation and safety technology, will be a close replica of the original vessel.
Here's how sailing aboard the Titanic ll will compare to how passengers aboard the Titanic in 1912 traveled.

man, if I had 500 million dollars I'd spend it on stuff that mattered such as commissioning a 3rd season of Carnivale (for starters)
And I bet the ONE movie that they don't show on board will be "Titanic."
Or that would be all they show.
And I loved Carnivale. That was the one with Clancy Brown as the preacher wasnt it?
