When I was a kid CBC would show Star Trek late at night before the late night movie and then they shut off for a few hours until 6 A.M. That's right kids. 22 hours a day of TV a day. And you don't think you would miss those three hours but when you only had one channel that your black and white TV could pick up at the lake or in the woods or the mountains, well you often stay up all night watching black and white TV and drinking with your friends around a bonfire.
What? It was STAR TREK...at the Lake while camping. My TV was 13 inches and was made to be taken camping. It was a combat television and I took it everywhere. It picked up five channels during a clear night and fit in my VW Bug perfectly. I had music and television in my car. For a short time I truly lived in the future.
Now, my point.
I once fell asleep around the fire and woke to see this short animated film from the beginning. I was never more terrified in all my life. I was so ready to go for a burning log to take fire to this shape shifting demon that had possessed by TV but I was too scared to get out of my lawn chair.
Still freaks me out to this day.

Hahahahaha! That animation is a real classic and was ahead of its time.
