I often see pictures on Tumblr that remind me of 'Dune'. If you are going to remake this book as a movie you have to go crazy with the costume and setting designs. The story is set in the year 10,191 so you can just let your imagination run wild.

Neat! Course now I just want to read the first book and a half again.
I assume you have seen the SYFY miniseries 'Dune' and 'Children of Dune' - that is some sweet 10 hours worth of story. Plus I hear there is interest in another big screen version.
As long as you steer clear of the atrocity that is Brian Herbert & Kevin J. Anderson's completion of Frank's series, you'll be ok TS.
All these pics make me angry that my group of geek Con friends never did our Dune cosplay like we said we were gonna. I was SO ready to be a Bene Gesserit and I had the best idea on how to make our own Fremen stillsuits.
Dune cosplay would have been so cool. But I am not playing the Baron just like I refuse to be Santa at the school during Christmas. I could be a good Gurney though...but definately Atreides.
