Two Questions

1. Why aren't these the only members from the cast of 'X-men, First Class'? I do consent to the use of Magneto but why decide to invent NEW mutants and avoid use of the 'Brotherhood' from the comics who you could have just de-aged?

2. Why isn't there an animated feature of their first school year at 'Xavier's School For Gifted Students' culminating is that first battle with the Brotherhood of Evil and Magneto at the nuclear missile base?

because screen writers don't have any respect for comic book writers. They believe the stories are outdated or flawed.

Always thinking they can REWRITE the classics. Ah, the hubris of the screenwriter. Looking directly at YOU James Cameron.

Arrogant to think you have to rewrite great stuff to suit your perceived intended audience. Or because you think you're a better writer.

1. because they're idiots.

2. because that's far too good an idea.

The 'intended' audience is the same one it was when Stan and Jack first put out that comic. Add to that the fanboys who read it then and since plus their wives and kids and girlfriends and you got your movie blockbuster. Just stupid. I have the worst feeling this will be 'Wolverine' all over again.

That's why I put the word 'perceived' in there. They think that they're making this for 14 yr. olds I guess. Or something equally stupid. If they deceide to make a Metal Men movie and screw it up, I will be sorely pissed.
