I do have to start collecting those new Cap Action sets.. I still have my glorious vintage 60s Cap America set, sitting on top a GI Joe WWII Harley bike.
I still have my '90s Phantom and Green Hornet sets from Playing Mantis. Excellent sets.
Focusing more on Marvel Legends now, but will be investing one day.
OOOOOO AN ORIGINAL CAPTAIN ACTION?? You need to take photos of your stuff. I would be interested. You too Dr Goat. I would do a special post.
I always like those type of games. I had the one where you pile things onto the donkey's back before he pops and bucks them off but I game it away to a little cousin cause she would scream with delight when it did that.
The guys who now own C/A contribute quite a bit in the Yahoo C/A group I'm in and they're shifting gears on the next releases. They were planning Iron Man early 2013 for the upcoming movie, but will be moving up a retro-styled Wolverine instead. Not a Wolvie fan myself, but their reasoning is to keep the X-Men crowd interested as well. So the Hawkeye parts'll be finally appearing (like the long-awaited head mask..), but will be further distributed.
My vintage loose Cap America set is C-8 (all tips on star, just one crease near a tip or two..), have all the parts. He looks so cool on my '90s Joe Classic Collection WWII Harley WLA-45 bike, as mentioned.
One regret is selling a near complete vintage Spidey set 10yrs ago. No runs or anything on the suit, had custom webbed rubber gloves made as well. Will have to hunt down all the pieces again one day.
Had a '67 MIB Phantom for a few years, but sold him once I got married.
These new sets look pretty awesome as well, but haven't had the urge to start buying 'em up yet.
It the 90s Phantom with some of my vintage guys.. It was that 60s puzzle behind 'em that got me hooked on Captain America originally as a kid. His uniform's all vintage, except for a hand-painted shield and custom rubber gloves.
I forever stand vigilant to protect this planet from the myriad of forces that are always against us. Be it the octopus, zombies, aliens or the robots my team of human agents, and our feline allies, circle the globe in a never ending struggle for human freedom.
I learn all I can on every subject that interests me. I especially enjoy ancient history because in the past there are valuable lessons to be found. Also, if I ever get my time machine to work properly, it would be good to know a bit about possible destinations and what to expect when I get there.
I greatly appreciate beautiful design. Be it manufactured or found naturally I am fascinated by the process of invention. I am attracted to the unique, the strange, the haunted. I like to share what I find on this blog.
And not let us forget the 'Cephalopod Menace' who, if allowed to, would wrap their tentacles around all that is good and pure in this life and crush it until it remained no more. They are creatures of pure spite. Hate is all they know. Death is all they do. They are our most ruthless and determined enemy.
So we fight. Selena has the celebrity contacts, the cat is ruthless and without pity, Roosevelt's ghost has the experience and I do the wetwork.
Fighting for the future of the planet doesn't have to be a chore, however. We can take the time to appreciate all that is cool in this world even as we cut the octopus into bite sized chunks.
This is the reason there has always been and must forever be, a Cave of Cool. Be sure to wipe your feet before you enter.

That Jaws game looks like a good addition to a collection.

The new Captian action sets have parts in them so you can dress up as the original Hawkeye which is very cool.
The only of the 90s Playmates sets that I don't have is the Lone Ranger. I have everything else.
Completing a 1:6 Hawkeye will be AWESOME.

They look great. That cap looks in good shape for his age.
