My Collections From 'Boxsome' Arrived Today

Boxsome is one of the newest companies that I have come across and I am happy to support them. I just received my two Nostalgia Packs in the mail and I can't wait to dig into all the goodies contained within. If you were a child of the 80s you will remember not only these cards but pogs and other pop cultural stickers from our great old past. Follow the above link and learn more about the treasure you can recieve in the mail for a very reasonable price.

These are the two I choose from my first nostalgia pack. You can never go wrong with dinosaurs snacking on humans and the heroics of the Rocketeer. I was a huge fan of bubble gum cards as a kid and carried mine around in a old photo album. Recieving these packages today took me back to those times.

Anyway, the ultimate goal of Boxsome is to offer these awesome boxes of themed geek stuff that will be customizable to you but still include a few random goodies. You won’t have to worry about getting a box of stuff around a theme you totally aren’t interested in like some subscription services. The power is yours.

Until that phase of Boxsome gets going, we’re selling Nostalgia Packs, which contain unopened trading card wax packs of your choice, stickers, some random loose cards, and more goodies. I want these to be really fun and to make you excited about getting mail again.

I am tempted to leave these great things in the package until I can get myself a bigger album to store all the other cool cards and card sets that I have collected over the years. For about a decade and a half I took all cards I got in Wizard or Previews (or dumped along with my monthly comic order as an extra for being such a good customer) and stored them in a large Christmas tin while I still collected action figures. I was even given a large box of Marvel/DC superhero cards from my students at the end of one school year. I thought I would only get a pack or two from each kid but they collected about a hundred for me. I was overwhelmed but had no good way to display them.

Great blog buddies like Doctor Goat has contributed to my card collection with sets of DUNE, MARS ATTACKS, reproductions of classic pulp covers, and a series of all the great Jack Kirby Covers. I also have packs of BABYLON FIVE cards from him which I am looking forward to organizing now that I have finally taken on that series.

But until I do open my packs you can enjoy these pictures of what others got with their orders. I am sure they were as excited to see the package in the mail as I was.

It's a cool idea for geeks like us and would make perfect stocking stuffers. I am going to do a post about them again when I finally open my package. I am the type who likes to leave my presents in package for those times I need a pick me up.

I don't know what it is, but a lot of your recent posts have broken image links. This one doesn't have a single picture. Is this a problem on my end or yours?
