Pull a lighter out of your pocket and you will be a GOD to these primates. Unless of course they are so afraid that they just beat you to death with their clubs. It could have went either way back then.

I often thing about how I would fair if I travelled in time. Thankfully my mechanical skills would come in handy. My most successful time traveling jaunt would be ancient Rome I could teach them how to use their metallurgy skills to build steam engines. Bring on the steam age my Roman friends!
I know of a cuckoo clock shop in the black forest of Bavaria that has used a water wheel and the waterfall to run machinery to make their gorgeous german clocks for centuries. It's one of my favorite places in the world. I would go somewhere like that. It was an important road through the forest and you would get all the good news and have a good trade and good tools.
If I was a builder. But no, I am a thinker so I would no doubt be in some monestary copying one book for the rest of my life.
