Fluffy's remarks about Glen absolutely nailed it for me. Glen is my favorite. All those intestines and spurting blood we saw loosely thrown around toward the end of last week's Walking Dead better have belonged to the weak and worthless guy who shot himself, whatshisname, and not to OUR GLEN. IF THE WRITERS KNOW WHAT'S GOOD FOR THEM.AND I'M ONLY GOING TO SAY IT ONCE.
It's why I dropped the show after season three. I read the comic which is bleak but I just couldn't handle the death of characters I feel in love with. I didn't want to see any of my first year crew die and ESPECIALLY not Glen. He found love. Last week was the first time I checked into the show only to see that ending. Was he dead this week. I can't look but I do want to know. I can't do this show. Too sad.
It was bad enough losing Herschel, the most lovable and admirable character who ever existed. I even sort of miss the Governor. He was pure evil, but David Morrissey/Gov enjoyed the role so much that watching him do a scene was like eating a delicious five-course meal. As for Glen, this Sunday they took the coward's way out and had sort of a Bye week. The whole show was concentrated on the Aikido Guy--Morgan?-- finding his way from being a grief-crazed homicidal animal to a path of peace. So we're cheated of knowing if Glen somehow managed to roll under the dumpster and escape, and whose guts those were. The sadistic writer has issued a taunting statement pretending to comfort, and saying that "Glen would come back in some form, whether whole or in part."
What a crappy way to treat their fans by not dealing with something that people have been suffering with all week. They took Glens name of that opening credits but what the hell does that mean? I am so glad I dropped a show that hates it's fans so much.
I forever stand vigilant to protect this planet from the myriad of forces that are always against us. Be it the octopus, zombies, aliens or the robots my team of human agents, and our feline allies, circle the globe in a never ending struggle for human freedom.
I learn all I can on every subject that interests me. I especially enjoy ancient history because in the past there are valuable lessons to be found. Also, if I ever get my time machine to work properly, it would be good to know a bit about possible destinations and what to expect when I get there.
I greatly appreciate beautiful design. Be it manufactured or found naturally I am fascinated by the process of invention. I am attracted to the unique, the strange, the haunted. I like to share what I find on this blog.
And not let us forget the 'Cephalopod Menace' who, if allowed to, would wrap their tentacles around all that is good and pure in this life and crush it until it remained no more. They are creatures of pure spite. Hate is all they know. Death is all they do. They are our most ruthless and determined enemy.
So we fight. Selena has the celebrity contacts, the cat is ruthless and without pity, Roosevelt's ghost has the experience and I do the wetwork.
Fighting for the future of the planet doesn't have to be a chore, however. We can take the time to appreciate all that is cool in this world even as we cut the octopus into bite sized chunks.
This is the reason there has always been and must forever be, a Cave of Cool. Be sure to wipe your feet before you enter.
