RIP Fred Thompson

Today I am saddened by the death of Fred Thompson. He was a Republican I know but as a character actor he had few equals. His years on Law and Order are memorable and always added to the drama. He also said the greatest line in movie history for me. It's from The Hunt For Red October of course. This was my Father's favorite movie and this line I use more often than I should to describe really bad situations. It's probably the most reblogged piece of video on my blog and with good reason. Good on ya Fred. I think we would have been friends has we ever met in real life despite our political differences. At his heart, Fred Thompson was an artist and we artists just understand each other.
