Gotham By Gaslight
The first and one of the greatest graphic novels of all time. It proved the concept that heroes could exist outside of their time and still maintain all that made them great in the first place. Victorian times and Jack the Ripper is the perfect place for a Batman to be. The world's greatest detective in the middle of history's greatest mystery. Add to that the great Mignola art and you have a singular work of fiction.

Really looking forward to this one. Love the animated Hellboy feel to it too.
It's a very good story. I am glad they made it. That means Kingdom Come might be in the pipeline one day.
I like how they got away from that anime look that's been dominating their movies lately. Part of why I liked the animated movies in the beginning is because they were drawn in the same style as the comic.
I remember loaning my copy of "Gotham by Gaslight" to a cute girl at work who told me she was obsessed with Jack the Ripper. She returned it the next day and told me she loved it.
If only I'd had the courage to ask her out when I had the chance...
Those are the moments we all miss. I had the same kind of relationship with a girl at cadet camp and Giant Sized X-Men one.
Sweet Jesus....you should have married that girl.
Tell me about it. She was the range officer so she knew how to fire a gun and had the best long hair. I shared my X-man comic with her cause she was bored and she actually came to my room, drunk, at night to talk X-men with me. How didn't I see all the signs?
