Life During Quarantine - Dealing With The Governent

For the times when the Government issues us ration cards and needs to find the right people for medical testing, I thought I would get the MYAlberta Digital ID. Just being hip and using my free time to take care of my own ass because when the shit REALLY goes down, you dumbasses will need my skills and leadership. But we can talk about this another time.

So I do the first three stages that requires your driver's license or Alberta ID card which I have. No problem but you gotta get all the small numbers EXACTLY right and that required my special glasses with the LINE through the middle that I got free because I know a guy who knows a guy who does solid eye wear for secret agents, criminals, octopus hunters and the lot. These cannot be destroyed but they unfortunately not all that stylish. They are, however, the only way I can see the really SMALL print. So that was soon down with minimal stress and I am told they would MAIL me my activation code. MAIL? What a quaint notion. Next day I get my letter, go into the site and it's down for maintenance.

I tried again a hour or so ago to fully register my ID because I had my own personal super secret hand delivered access code ON PAPER - not digital. I felt like an agent for the Impossible Missions Force and after I imputed my code, the paper would self destruct like some magic trick. It didn't.

I started at 9877 in the queue an hour ago. I am at 1919 and now I am 17 minutes to finishing my Alberta Digital ID for these new times. I have ten minutes once I get my chance so don't distract me. I have to give the government all my info so that they can harvest my organs when they need to do that.

But such an ID makes it easy to access socialist government resources. Sorry America. You got to hate a country with free medical care for all, especially during a pandemic. Too bad only the rich can afford the very medical care that is needed by all at this time. Those who are most at risk are forgotten the most with governments hoping that 'nature' will run it's course. I have to give my provincial government and federal governments for not bitching about paying money to the people even though one is fiscally very Conservative. Too bad about your niche issues at this point. People and the economy need a boost to keep the vital industries like food and gas and rent and internet and phone - basic human needs and rights - going and available to all. But this will help get over the hump as our society figures out how to redefine the economic system that in the future must rely heavily on working from home with the aid of technology and those who can find a way to master that niche will be much in demand.

Plus it's now the time to double the minimum wages of essential services like grocery store staff, nurses, doctors, cleaning staff, volunteers, and we need to support the hairdressers and pubs and small businesses. Oh and teachers get a huge raise when they go back to work. If you deny that and you have kids you are a hypocrite. You have to have respect for all they do in their jobs. Five minutes left and I am 544 in the queue. Now don't distract me. I don't want to miss my ten minute window.

Then when I get in it gets all glitchy and has me re-enter all the same information I had to supply in the first three levels to this Dante's Inferno. Why not the same people who register perverts for pay porn sites should design your government system. The porn registry system always works first time. Or so I hear.
