When I was a teen living on the base they decided to add an extra phone line to many of the PMQs. The extra one we got was suppose to go into my parent's room but the phone cord was so long and could already reach my parent's room. So the line went into the basement where I always had my room. I already had a 13 inch black and white TV so with a phone I was REALLY stylin. The only problem was that my Mother didn't want to buy a new phone so she took the free PINK PRINCESS phone they offered her. My sister thought that would be a deal breaker for me. Silly sister. My Dad took an old ammo box, drilled a hole in the back for the cord and added a silk pillow and suddenly I had the bat phone and when my friends phoned early in the morning no one could hear the ringing but me.
