The Bounty Hunter
How empty is my documents file when I have been forced to watch 'The Bounty Hunter' with Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston. I like him, he does good comedy. However, she is suffering by that 'Tom Cruise Factor'.
She can't really get into character because each movie is just Jennifer Aniston on a boat, Jennifer Aninston in space, Jennifer Aniston on crack, ect....
This movie is also a Hollywood hack's wet dream. Throw together a fugitive with her sloppy ex-husband, a bounty hunter on her trail. Give them three days to hate each other and then fall back in love. Do this all while avoiding getting killed by some bad cops and we got us a mega hit. Bleh!
Set up other characters that will somehow be useful thoughout the film and create some bullshit murder mystery that means nothing. GAH. Nothing is the least bit original or interesting about this film.
You know it was written after they secured Aniston. I can see everyone involved thinking this was another gritty urban comedy.
I suppose I should be happy that this action rom/com doesn't star Hugh Grant or Sarah Jessica Parker. Here's a secret guys. If you get dragged to the movies on 'ladie's choice' night, you an do much worse. I hate myself for actually smiling and laughting a number of times.

Jennifer Aniston can play...Jennifer Aniston. Sorry, but that just doesn't cut it for me. I wouldn't touch this with a 10-foot pole.
Feel my pain then. So glad I didn't pay for it.
She was good in 'The Good Girl' but anything else, not so much.
Jennifer Aniston on crack.....
coming this Summer!
I want going to comment something witty and great... but this movie scared that away...
I want to think that Gerard Butler is awesome.... He was awesome in 300.... But then he gets pitted next to the most despicable actress in the world (Katharine Heigl) in that horrible Ugly Truth movie....
And now this? I'll wait for 301....
Also good in "Management," which isn't a great movie but it's not her fault.
Hey Ben, you've got to give Steve Zahn credit.... He was good in 'Management'....
