Have I Become A Niche Blog?

Are my interests too esoteric or creepy? Do I offend the gentle and sensible? Am I not as wonderful and creative as I thought I was?

I visited many sites on my blog roll today and for many reasons their latest post have HUGE amounts of comments. They are nice comments too (not that I get many if any negative comments unless you count Vancouver Mark but he is institutionalized so I can forgive him).

I probably post too much so my numbers of visitors are automatically skewed by numerous retrips throughout the day. Maybe I have lost my fiery rebel edge (naw, I never had that). What could it be?

I choose to believe that my visitors are too cool to comment like the other kids in class. They are the ones sitting in back of the class opening and closing their switchblade combs. They don't need no stinkin' 'rithmatic or any of my fancy booklearnin'. They are rebels baby. They keep their comments to themselves lest they get a hasslin' from da man. Yeh, that's what it is. Cool.

It's YOU with you mutiposting daily. Steeling the cool from the cave of cool is not cool.

Your blog is the proverbial "bomb diggity"

You do a thousand awesome posts a day, I think they just spread out the comments more.

It's impossible to comment on everything here, I'd go mad trying to be that consistently witty...

Same here....
But I read your stuff daily.

I feel that my comments are uniformly positive.

And the institution I inhabit is called marriage, dear boy.
If I was really nasty I'd say something like you should try it some time, but I'm a sweet guy so I'll walk away softly whistling "Alberta Bound."

I check up on your blog off and on throughout the day because it makes me laugh. Your blog is like quick caffeine hit between the bumps and crashes of my day. I occasionally surf a lot of blogs. Some of the things I have noticed are;
1. The same groups surf and comment on each others blogs for hit numbers, free stuff or advertising etc. (Etsy sellers are a prime case and point.)
2. Many comments are prewritten and copy/pasted into comment pages.
3. Much of the comments I see are poorly written or nonsense.
4. Comments seldom reflect a genuine reaction to the material written unless it is of the Munchausen by Proxy Syndrome, (the horror of it all), type blog.
5. If you want lengthy comments I would suggest subjects like Obama, abortion, the death penalty, animal cruelty, or Bradgelina.
6. Very few people type as fast as you apparently do.

Quality not quantity, by Jove.

i agree with the masses about too much stuff to comment on. doesn't mean we're not looking and reading though

Thanks everyone. Great comments as usual. You are right. My people work hardest to make the best comments. You have no idea how much the effort is appreciated. My unlimited love to you all.

One concern I have with your blog is the masthead or headrer or whatever you call thatillustration at the top. It is awesome, but how truly cool is this cave if there's no comics visible. You should have a stack or two of Silver Age comics in there somewhere.
Oh, and Harpo Marx.

You would truly look cool.

Oh, and less Selena Gomez.

I agree with Dr. Goat.... It's quality, not quantity....

I wish I knew how to get more comments. I think there are just a lot of people who read but don't write.
