Maybe you've heard of 'The American,' Dutch director Anton Corbijn's latest movie. It's about a man (played by George Clooney) trying to quit his dangerous profession as a hired assassin. You can see the trailer here. David Rynn of ScottAndDave.net made a spoof of the trailer called 'The Canadian.'

That was pretty good.
That's a real hoot, eh?
(My most profound apologies to all of my fellow Canadians for continuing to perpetuate a cultural stereotype that, if not actually insulting, does tend to leave one feeling pigeonholed and more than a little demasculanized.)
Yeh but it's our joke on the world that they believe this myth we have created about ourselves. We can tend to get a bit cranky at times at things like the weather and running out of maple syrup and then having to strap spoons to our feet like Tweety to get fresh supplies in a blizzard.
I was listening to XM CA's Laugh Attack (one of the perks of getting the wife a new car), and a comic was saying the _real_ Canadian expression is "there ya go." He says it is a nice way of saying, "shut up. I don't care."
"Geez, my car wouldn't start so I had to get a cab this morning."
"Well, there ya go."
Well, I'd go see that movie if it existed. That 'trailer' was great.
Now i want to see this, come on you guys make the movie ok?
Haha! Awesome!!
I went to see "The American" on Tuesday night. Not bad. Not great but.. not bad. :)
I think that "The Canadian" would be a lot more fun. ;p

Love the end..I was ready for the hockey game to start. Here in New York we hear you Canadians sharpening your skates and preparing to attack. No doubt after you switch my large Tim Hortons for decaf.
