I forever stand vigilant to protect this planet from the myriad of forces that are always against us. Be it the octopus, zombies, aliens or the robots my team of human agents, and our feline allies, circle the globe in a never ending struggle for human freedom.
I learn all I can on every subject that interests me. I especially enjoy ancient history because in the past there are valuable lessons to be found. Also, if I ever get my time machine to work properly, it would be good to know a bit about possible destinations and what to expect when I get there.
I greatly appreciate beautiful design. Be it manufactured or found naturally I am fascinated by the process of invention. I am attracted to the unique, the strange, the haunted. I like to share what I find on this blog.
And not let us forget the 'Cephalopod Menace' who, if allowed to, would wrap their tentacles around all that is good and pure in this life and crush it until it remained no more. They are creatures of pure spite. Hate is all they know. Death is all they do. They are our most ruthless and determined enemy.
So we fight. Selena has the celebrity contacts, the cat is ruthless and without pity, Roosevelt's ghost has the experience and I do the wetwork.
Fighting for the future of the planet doesn't have to be a chore, however. We can take the time to appreciate all that is cool in this world even as we cut the octopus into bite sized chunks.
This is the reason there has always been and must forever be, a Cave of Cool. Be sure to wipe your feet before you enter.

Have not been able to buy a comic book in nearly two years... the nearest place to buy any comic books is in Charlotte... and I just stay stuck in this little town .. So I was not familiar with his character or the storyline Last Comic that I was able to purchase was the story of Batman killing Robin (Jason Todd) to save the joker after blowing up Nightwing's city...
I do Not even know the outcome of that storyline....
I don't even want to read about the death of this Robin. Batman already had a Robin die. It's be explored to death. Now Batman has his shit more together than, well, EVER and he has his 10 year old snotty bratty son as his Robin and now they are gonna kill him off. It's such a fuck you to fans. I am so pissed about this. So you see my friend, we all have our own kind of madness...ALL of us.
DC Comics is currently like King Theoden. Dan Didio and his Image Comics friends are like Grimer Wormtongue whispering lies and deceptions to the Publisher as the kingdom falls into ruin and despair.
I did not even know of this version of Robin till I saw your post the other day... I have not been able to follow any of the DC Universe in a while... So posts like yours are about the only info that I get to read on these characters... I also try to keep up with a couple of Batman storylines... The sites that I read usually just inform me of new toy releases...
WOW, Uknown, you really nailed the current state of DC Comics in a way that hits me right where I live.
Dr Theda - not worth learning anything about this almost dead Robin unless you want to fall in love with a character only to have your heart broken. I mean he threatened the other Robins and promised he would defeat each one of them...just like a punk little brother would. Love it.
