Breaks My Heart - Roger Ebert Dead At 70

No single person aside from my father made me love the movies more than Roger Ebert. His movie review guide was essential reading in our house and was always tattered from use, especially at the beginning of the video age. He never lost his love of film and he taught me WHY I should love the movies as much as I do. As his career grew he could always be counted on to give you an honest review. He never sold out. Right up to the end I could trust his opinion because we seemed to always like the same kind of movies. He will be missed.

I don't believe in an afterlife but if I am wrong, I hope he and Gene Siskel are both watching movies together in that big theatre in the sky.

Being a cancer survivor I have come to learn that all one needs to overcome cancer is Baking Soda mixed in Water...Nothing more nothing less. Once a day and one will never have cancer.

Yes, very sad news. His reviews were always fair and accessible.

Hobby, I might just have to take your advice. What can it hurt?

Roger's recommendations are why some of the best times of my life were spent in the dark.

Worse yet, Batgirl creator Carmen Infantino has passed away as well.

A sad occasion to be sure. I really liked Roger. Spot on with most of his observations.
