Not A Fan Of This New Look
The next animated feature from DC will be Wonder Woman 'War'. Based on her look in the New 52, this is a step backwards for the Amazon Princess that totally take away her magic and turns her into a 80s yoga instructor. What is so wrong with the outfit she has had for over 50 years? Don't have to fix what is not broken. I hate this whole Jim Lee design. And as an EXPERT on Diana of Themyscira my opinion should carry more weight than it does. Did anyone watch the LAST Wonder Woman animated feature movie in 2008?. Now that was Wonder Woman done RIGHT. She took no bullshit from anyone.

Yeah... I'm right there with you Kal. This is a very odd design choice. When you're designing a costume for a woman showing bare shoulders means "sexy", (even if you don't see that much cleavage), when showing bare biceps (man or woman) that means the character is "strong". Its absoultely baffling to me why they would cover both of those up. If your concern is that her classic outfit is deemed "too sexy" in modern context, I can get wanting to cover up some of the exposed skin. But if thats the case than why on world did you decide to leave the shoulders exposed? You'd think you would want to show bare biceps to indicate strength and maybe balance that with some shoulderpads, but no, they go they exact opposite route!
Not to mention it looks really goofy that so much of her upper body is covered but her legs are completely exposed.
As an artist, this design gives me brain hurt.
Well said and from a real artists perspective.
I will not be buying it.
Oh I will watch. But I don't have to like it.
Between this and the Flashpoint Paradox, I'm hoping that the adaptation of all these New 52 stories will mean some consistency in acting and continuity in the upcoming movies.
Flashpoint was very good. It's a great FLASH story and I love the Thomas Wayne Batman the more I think about him. The twist to his story is epic in it's tragedy. The two bullets by the picture of his family is haunting.
