Isn't "pierogi" the Polish spelling and "perogy" the Ukrainian?

Maybe. I know it would offend my old Baba to spell it any differently.

vegemite is nasty stuff. I am very particular about my perogies. cheese and potatoe with fried bacon, onions and sour cream. Then fried the next morning for breakfast with cranberry sauce. mmmmm

Cranberry sauce? Wow, mind officially blown! I'll have to try that.

Vegemite perogies, on the other hand -- I'll take a pass, thanks.

That's my hometown paper! And I know one of the organizers of that event, so I might get to be a judge next year!! Buffalo has a large Polish population, so pierogi are pretty big around here.
