Edward Gorey (February 22, 1925 – April 15, 2000)

 

I am a big fan of the man's work and his whimsy.

Gloomy can still be a lot of fun.

 

Probably his most famous work is the Ghastlycrumb Tinies which was the first time that I learned about the work ENNUI - my favorite word ever for that feeling of PROFOUND sadness.
