Movie Of The Day For St Paddy's Day - The Quiet Man
Except for The Hunt For Red October, The Quiet Man was my father's favorite film. It was on TV every year at this time and he would make sure he was home so we could all watch it together. It has the distinction of being one of the few movies in which John Wayne doesn't use a gun or isn't a cowboy. And who can argue with the magnificence that is Maureen O'Hara. She is worth all the trouble she gives.

It may also have one of my favorite lines in all of movie history. After John Wayne says hello to Maureen O'Hara and she scurries away the groundskeeper says "Sure you were saying Good Morning, but you were thinking Good Night!"
A great Duke movie. My favorite is the Man Who Shot Liberty Valence. If you haven't seen that one yet, you need to. You won't be disappointed. The Searchers is a favorite too.
