Ah, cover them with ice cream or cool whip and they will be just fine. I followed all the directions and this was the result. Abominations. I hate baking. I dare not try the cookie. Time to stick to Pillsbury.

Man, that is sad looking meringue. But in all fairness, meringue is apparently very difficult to do well. My Mom used to make the best lemon meringue pies in the world. She had the knack.
