I will say it again. You HAD to walk that fine line between old and new and JJ did it brilliantly. George has the right to be bitter but he is not a good writer or storyteller. He would have gummed it up. The move entertained every person who saw it and now comes the nitpicking. Yes it's totally derivative but in the best way. It's an homage that was needed to cleanse the pallet and start fresh from here. And that is my last word on the subject.
