I have been seeing these all over the place lately. I want to find one for myself with a nice set of markers to see if coloring is as relaxing as people claim it is. It will probably just give me more stress.

These colouring books do vary in quality but I'd recommend the Johanna Basford ones for the intricate and imaginative designs. Sarah really loves those. I recently bought James a Doctor Who colouring book for Christmas which is really cool and I've also got one featuring dodgy old comic book covers. Unsurprising, really :-)
Give 'em a try, Cal. They're definitely therapeutic when you're feeling stressed out.
Just a good hobby, I think. Something to relax with. My mother-in-law got a bunch for Christmas. Of course, now she wants to research the proper time period colors of the vintage houses in one book, so that they are accurate. Some people can't relax at all!
I was thinking a nice comic book cover one would be cool. I would also like to watch some You Tube vids to learn some coloring tricks.
They're cool but you can do the same thing with a regular coloring book and get the subject you like (Star Wars, avengers etc). Just use colored pencils and make highlights and shadows.
I think I like the insane detail of these adult books but I like your superhero idea. I need to learn some shading tricks, however and how they show reflection on shiny costume or weapon surfaces. Little tricks like that so my coloring doesn't look like a toddler did it.
