That would have been excellent casting!
But the effects at the time would hvae blown chunks.
Where they the actual inspirations? I know doc strange was based on Vincent price, chuck Xavier = yul brenner, green lantern and Carol were Paul newman and Liz Taylor and my fav, Big Barda is lainie Kazan
those references are almost too obscure for most kids today. And Mr Miracle was based on Sterenko's career as an escape artist.
Oh I forgot Fred MacMurray was Captain Marvel
