She turned it down due to the script containing a lot of nudity.
It was then offered to Valerie Leon who turned it down for the same reason.
They finally got someone else to sign on but the project died not long after that due to behind the scenes wrangling between Warren publishing and Hammer.
A shame.
They made a Vampirella movie in the 90s
