Meatloaf RIP

If you were a teenager at the end of the 70s you owned this album. It was huge and iconic and defined a time when Rock music could be about something like a tune from a Broadway musical. And no one loved the theatrical more than Meatloaf. He was a huge guy and definitely NOT video pretty. He was better seen performing live and even shunned videos for years until even those he made became iconic. He was unique and a great actor who always brought something special to any small role he found himself in. He was a true performer who sold it to the cheap seats in the back every time. I for one am sad to see him go.

Yes, I had his "Bat Out Of Hell" record when I was a teenager in the 70's! I don't know how my parents put up with my stereo and the non-stop rock music of KISS, Pink Floyd, Supertramp, Boston, Alice Cooper, Ted Nugent, etc., LOL!

He was one of a kind alright. I've never seen that clip with him and Stephen Fry before -- hilarious!
