I have a tape of song designed to break your heart. I don't know why I made it at the time but I seemed to find every slow melody in my CD collection for that compilation. I used to play it when I studied or did assignments just to have some backgroud noise. Many times I woke up surrounded by books and papers with it still playing. I clearly remember the first song on side A so it's the one I picked for this challenge. Peter Gabriel and Sinead O'Conner - 'Blood of Eden'.

I would love to see the rest of that playlist! I'm obsessed with heartbreaking songs.
I will dig it up for a post sometime. But be aware, your heart will break.
Love it. love it. I saw him sing this with Paula Cole on his Secret World tour in 93, in the Pacific Coliseum beneath the Eden tree. One stunningly lovely concert.
And Sinead singing is, yes, even better.
To me the song is more heartwarming than heartbreaking, but that's me, i guess.
Beautiful!
Peter Gabriel is awesome.....and I don't like to use that word too much.
