Stop Freaking Me Out!
Meet the Alligator Gar. This big fish can reach a length of 14 ft and weigh up to 350lbs. It can breathe both water and air (for up to 2 hours) and has been unchanged for over 100 million years.

That's a fish? That is freaky.
Nothing that lives in the oceans is good. I eat them under duress because they are so yummy.
Aligator Gar are freshwater fish... which adds to the "HOLY CRAP" factor. They are quite common around here in rivers and lakes. People bowfish for them (harpoon like arrows attached to lines shot from bows). We catch them fairly often when fishing below the spillway from Lake Texoma in the Red River.
