Next to SPAM, there was no lower compressed meat scrapings than PREM. Like SPAM, the key was provided to open up the can so you could get at the sweet meaty goodness within. Dad would make the best toasted egg, cheese and PREM sammiches for breakfast that stayed with you all day. We could have been eating horsemeat for all we cared. It was Europe. It was the 70s and the Cold War was a crazy time.

I don't remember Prem but, here in the UK, we all grew up on Spam in the '70s. I tried some a while back, for nostalgia's sake... and it was bloody awful ;-)
I like SPAM and eat it every once in a great while. But I have never had this or TREET which is another SPAM knockoff.
Yep, occasionally pan fried Spam hits the spot. Hell, they sell it at McDonalds in Hawaii.
"I love it! I'm having spam spam spam spam eggs bacon sausage and spam!"
With a side of spam.
I love Spam. No question there, wife'll never eat it though.
"Good, more for me."
