Sillof is definitely one of the coolest designers out there and his work speaks for itself. Follow the link to read the backstories on all these characters and see how they perfectly fill the roles necessary to create a Wild West Star Wars tale. The Chewbacca is particularly inspired. Fault him all you like but Lucas understood mythmaking when he created the Star Wars universe. All his characters are archetypes that are found in all the great sagas throughout history. Good vs Evil works every time. Toss in a little a little redemption and some action and we got us a great motion picture.
