Calvin's Canadian Cave Of Cool Manifesto
I forever stand vigilant to protect this planet from the myriad of forces that are always against us. Be it the octopus, zombies, aliens or the robots my team of human agents, and our feline allies, circle the globe in a never ending struggle for human freedom.
I learn all I can on every subject that interests me. I especially enjoy ancient history because in the past there are valuable lessons to be found. Also, if I ever get my time machine to work properly, it would be good to know a bit about possible destinations and what to expect when I get there.
I greatly appreciate beautiful design. Be it manufactured or found naturally I am fascinated by the process of invention. I am attracted to the unique, the strange, the haunted. I like to share what I find on this blog.
And not let us forget the 'Cephalopod Menace' who, if allowed to, would wrap their tentacles around all that is good and pure in this life and crush it until it remained no more. They are creatures of pure spite. Hate is all they know. Death is all they do. They are our most ruthless and determined enemy.
So we fight. Selena has the celebrity contacts, the cat is ruthless and without pity, Roosevelt's ghost has the experience and I do the wetwork.
Fighting for the future of the planet doesn't have to be a chore, however. We can take the time to appreciate all that is cool in this world even as we cut the octopus into bite sized chunks.
This is the reason there has always been and must forever be, a Cave of Cool. Be sure to wipe your feet before you enter.

A regular post on the ladies of "No Pants Thursday".
Just a few thoughts:
1. Maybe show off some more of your toy collection with mini reviews. Maybe a theme or something for different days? I know you don't always open stuff, so that can be difficult.
2. More Zatanna, Power Girl, Ms. Marvel, and Poison Ivy cosplay/pics/ whatever.
3. Maybe try a contest or too. Nothing elaborate, just something to get folks pumped up.
I agree with bbq17, though Wonder Woman is my fav, some more diversity would be nice with the super ladies. Oh, and I miss your color of the day, those were always very cool. Other than that, your cave is in tip top, keep it up you magnificent bastard!
I think your site is great. Always has been. I wonder what you could do to get a sponsor so you could get paid for the fine quality you produce.
And no, half naked women is not the answer. I think your insightful reviews are far more valuable a commodity.
more of your toys, recollections of the times you lived during which they were procured, and the features you appreciate. You do this a little already of course, but you know how much i love TOYS :D
I love everything about your site except for your political rants. You turn off about half your potential audience. You've got your views and are entitled to them, but other lovers of the cosplay / comicbook / toys that you are so passionate about have opinions quite contrary to yours.
Just my thoughts.
Yeah, more toys and reviews. Little stories about specific pieces in your collection would be nice.
Not enough time in the day, Cal, not enough time in the day.
More toys, more Riddle, more Batgirl.., to start..?
Self-censorship is not the answer. Your blog should reflect who you are as a person. It's your personality and good eye for design which make this blog unique.
You should add a cute kid side-kick. Maybe more than one. Nephews for example.
