Introduced as part of the Arrow/Flash universe, Supergirl is coming to the CW. I am a big fan of the character and I hope they don't have rules about her appearing in costume like they did on Smallville, a show that waited too long to turn Clark into Superman. I also don't want to see this one turned into a teen drama with superpowers, a trap that both Arrow and the Flash have wisely avoided.
I never saw her on Glee but I will be watching Whiplash this weekend so I will let you know what I think of her performance.
Now 24, Kara feels un-empowered, a slave to having repressed her innate abilities. She's still pretty, but with her face hidden behind glasses and her hair pulled back, she doesn't know it herself. An unexpected disaster forces her to use her powers in public. Energized by her heroic deed, for the first time in her life, Kara begins embracing her extraordinary abilities. She begins helping the people of her city and they soon take notice — and she's even given a new moniker: Supergirl.

It's great to see female super-heroes on the screen. Excited for this one!
