I remember a time when I got twenty dollars every two weeks to buy comic books at a time when it cost only 75 cents an issue. You could take a chance on a goofy issue like this one and not look like a freak who only really bought the comic because of the White Rabbit and her awesome costume. I had a pull list in those days and turned in my orders two months in advance so I knew what I had to look forward to. Those were also the days of the first big mini-series like Secret Wars and Contest of Champions.

I remember having that very comic in my collection. I wonder if it's still there? Sadly, probably not.
$20 every two weeks? Holy moly, Cal, you were rolling in the dough!
This was waaay after I stopped collecting.. THANKFULLY.
I'll always be a 12-20cent dude.
One of my first was Romita-drawn ASM 122, with the Goblin dying at the end.
Now THAT'S a great way to start your comic-collecting. :)
Oh I have many of those older comics too but those few years were petty damn good for comic collecting.
I worked damn hard for that 40 bucks a month. My folks saw how much joy comics gave me and how seriously a collector I was. They knew I would buy the comics anyway with my Woolco pay.
