Mostly posted for Rob over at The Dork Review who has a HUGE collection of all of these which he will post a few times a year in it's glorius entirety. I am sure he has seen all of these before but I didn't want to take the chance that he hadn't. This iconic cover from X-Men 141 and their groundbreaking story - Days of Future Past - started it all though there is some conjecture that other covers of this design were first. But I am sure Rob will answer that question in the comments and include the link for his own collection of these covers, which is extensive.
