Today I start my 11th year blogging. I am proud of this singular achievement. In ten years I made an effort daily to keep a record of all the cool things I found on my travels around the Internet. That simple idea has keep me going and interested all this time.
Somedays there is nothing I enjoy more than crusing through my archives. I have met amazing people who like me are creative and interesting and vocal about the things they love and the things they don't. They are my people. To everyone who ever came by and left a comment I thank you for your validation. An artist really likes to hear that other people appreciate the effort. I wish there as a way to print all these pages into yearly volumes of each post I ever did. I sometimes wonder how long these sites still exist after the person who created them has died. I hoped that it would never go away and that woud make me immortal and I can live with that.

Oh my Goddess, I only just now realized that I started blogging ten years ago roughly this month too. Well, that went by fast. You're a much stronger person than I am though, as I haven't blogged in.... what.... five years now? Ugh. I need to get back on the damn horse. Anyway, HAPPY BLOGIVERSARY!!!!
You have a family and a life. I am travelling through space all alone so I needed to do something lest I succumb to the space madness.

I can't believe it's only been 10 years. To my mind The Cave Of Cool has always been part of the bloggosphere's DNA.
You work magic here, Cal, and you know I visit all the time, comment when I can, link to you often etc Simply put: you do great blogging.
I, too, wonder about the place of our blogs in the future and whether they will continue to exist somewhere in the ether long after we are gone. I hope so... I like the idea of some of 31st Century techno-archaeologist unearthing a stash of hidden treasures from the Cave Of Cool, and muttering to himself: "Thank Cal, the Great One warned us about the octopi in time, averting the Cephalapocalypse!"

Wow! Ten years! I don't think I've ever stuck to doing something for that long, let alone be dedicated to it as you are. Whatever are you going to do to celebrate? Whatever are you going to do to top what you have already done?
