It's about time because the first film was the best one Pixar has ever made and I am including the Toy Story movies in my assessment.

Erik Johnson Illustrator said...: They were really hyping a sequel after the original came out but there hasn't been much word on it since. Maybe this will be Brad Bird's way of bouncing back after not getting the "Star Wars" gig.

Next year will be the tenth anniversary of the film, maybe there will be an announcement for it then. I doubt we'll see any footage for a while since it looks like Pixar has their plates full of projects for a while now.
