Y: The Last Man Get's TV Pilot

One of the best finite comic book series of all time. When the power went out last winter I read the entire 60 issue series in one shot when I found the Absolute printing at my local library. I could have dug out the individual issues from my comic boxes but why open them and risk my pristine copies?

A great story with great art and covers is just about as close to fine literature as comics get. I have high hopes for this show which is something original is an industry that resists something that doesn't fit into a cookie cutter mold. Casting is vital in this one. If not for her role on The Walking Dead I would caste Danai Gurira as Agent 555 but I want her to do all the great roles for black females these days. She is my action Olivia Spencer after Black Panther.

In Y: The Last Man, focuses on the titular last man (Yorick) who survives a plague where all living mammals with a Y chromosome are killed. Yorick encounters a series of challenges with the companionship of his Capuchin monkey Ampersand and the protection of Agent 355. For its run, Y: The Last Man snapped up three Eisner Awards and a lot of real estate at your local comic shop.
